Privacy Policy

Builtee helps builders and project managers run home construction projects and keeps homeowners up to date. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. Builtee is run by [Owner or company name] ("we", "us").

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, name, and whether you are a homeowner or a builder. Builders may also add a company name, phone number and logo.
• Project information: what you and your project team add, such as the project address, schedule, progress, photos, documents, selections, spending, change orders, invoices and messages.
• Technical information: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, a copy of your data on your device so the app loads quickly, and basic logs we use to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

• To run Builtee: sign you in, save your projects and show them to the people on your project.
• To send sign-in codes, notifications and messages you ask for.
• To answer your questions and keep the service safe.

We do not sell your information and we do not show ads.

Who can see your project

A project is visible to the builder or project manager who created it and to the people they invite, such as the homeowner. Our team only looks at project information when you ask for help or when needed to keep the service secure.

Services we use

We use trusted providers to run Builtee. They only process information to provide their service to us:

• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Vercel: hosting.
• National Weather Service: forecasts. We send the approximate area of a job site, never your name.
• OpenStreetMap: maps and looking up addresses.

If we add providers, for example for email, payments or notifications, we will update this list.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu (tap your initials, then Delete account). This removes your account, your profile and your access to projects. Project information you shared with others, such as a message or a photo on a builder's project, stays part of that project. Deleted information may stay in backups for a short time.

Your choices

You can view and update your details in the app at any time. To ask for a copy of your information, or for anything else about your privacy, email support@builtee.com.

Security

Your information is sent over encrypted connections, and access to it is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect it.

Children

Builtee is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and let you know in the app when the change is important.
